On January 3, 2026, PMCI Cambodia, in collaboration with Nation Church Phnom Penh, successfully conducted a free mobile clinic at Srae Ambel Church. This mission aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the vulnerable community of Sala Mneang Village, ensuring that distance and financial constraints do not prevent residents from receiving quality medical attention.Â
âť– General Health Consultations: 94 Patients (Male: 27| Female: 67)
Lessons Learned (Key Insights)Â
Geographical Barriers to Healthcare: The mission highlighted the critical need for mobile services in Srae Ambel. Many villagers live far from provincial hospitals; providing care directly in the community significantly increased the turnout of elderly patients and children who otherwise cannot travel long distances.Â
Effective Partnership Synergy: Collaborating with Nation Church and the local Srae Ambel Church was vital. Local church leaders acted as trusted "community bridges," helping to mobilize residents and provide a safe, familiar environment for treatment. This trust is essential for patient cooperation.Â
The mission at Sala Mneang Village was a success, demonstrating the power of volunteerism and partnership. PMCI Cambodia remains committed to this cause. Our volunteer medical team is ready and prepared to continue serving, with the ultimate goal of seeing every community member healthy and cared for.
