Phnom Penh
On January 15, 2026, the PMCI Cambodia Medical team offered mobile clinics to the communities of Grace Church and Caleb Church, which are located about 20 kilometers away from PMCIC in Baku Village, Prey Sa Sangkat, Donkor District, Phnom Penh Capital. PMCI treated residents living close to the garbage site and performed medical examinations in cooperation with local pastors and church leaders. The majority of these locals make a living by collecting recyclable rubbish from homes to sell and engaging in small-scale street hawking.
Their living conditions are characterized by day-to-day survival, limited hygiene, and a lack of health education, as well as restricted access to proper healthcare services.
According to Pastor Nup Phearam, following the ongoing cooperation between the church and PMCIC, a number of patients have come to the church and have placed their faith in God. This partnership not only brings medical care to a vulnerable community but also offers hope, compassion, and spiritual encouragement to those in need.
Our medical team had the privilege of providing healthcare services to a total of 171 cases. 93 patients received general medical consultations and treatment. 78 individuals underwent eye examinations and received eyeglasses through the vision care program.
