Churches play a critical role in both spiritual and community development. While spiritual ministry is central, addressing physical, social, and health needs in the community is equally important. Recognizing this, PMCI organized a two-day Church Vision Seminar to equip church leaders with knowledge, skills, and a clear vision for holistic health ministry.
The seminar aimed to help churches understand their role in fostering sustainable health initiatives, establishing Church Health Committees (CHCs), and integrating spiritual and physical care.
Key Outcomes
- Increased understanding of holistic health among church leaders.
- Participants gained clarity on establishing CHCs and their roles.
- Practical action plans were developed for follow-up church-led health initiatives.
- Participants were motivated to integrate physical care with spiritual ministry.
Challenges
- Limited prior experience in long-term health initiatives among participants.
- Time constraints for volunteers may affect implementation.
- Continuous mentoring and technical support are needed for sustainability.
