On December 13-14, 2025, the Eye Health Care Programme supported four patients through cataract and pterygium surgeries. This mission was conducted under the partnership of PMCI and PMCA, aiming to restore sight, improve quality of life, and strengthen faith through medical compassion.
The Results:
A total of four eye surgical procedures were successfully completed without complications. The four supported patients, including one cataract case and two pterygium cases, received appropriate surgical treatment based on medical diagnosis. The patient who underwent bilateral blepharoplasty demonstrated improved eyelid position, resulting in a wider visual field and reduced visual obstruction. Post-operative assessments indicated that all patients were in stable condition, with no immediate surgical complications reported. Patients received post-operative care instructions, medications, and scheduled follow-up appointments to ensure proper recovery. Overall, the surgical interventions contributed to improved visual function and quality of life, enabling patients to better perform daily activities.
