Key Lessons Learned
Operational Scope: While the single-day, multi-site approach was successful, the logistical demands of transporting and recalibrating heavy medical equipment led to significant team fatigue. Future missions should prioritize a single-location model to optimize energy and equipment uptime.
Site Infrastructure: Infrastructure at Grace Church presented challenges, specifically unstable power supply and a lack of on-site sanitation facilities. Pre-mission site assessments should confirm electrical stability and basic amenities.
Volunteer Integration: The success of patient management relied heavily on local volunteer engagement. Their role in navigating language and cultural barriers is essential for efficient service delivery.
